The Norwegians, who will be playing in their first-ever World Cup last-eight game, have scored 12 goals in five matches in the tournament so far, with seven of those goals coming from the free-scoring marksman Erling Haaland.
However, it’s the supply that should worry the English more, and Solbakken believes that the variation of their play remains their key strength...
"We can use several different kind of wingers and we can utilise a more physical player like Sorloth, and then again maybe a speedy one. It's just a question on how you see the game and how you see it developing over 90 minutes."
The winner of this game will face the winner between defending champions Argentina or Switzerland in the second semifinal next Wednesday.
The game takes place at the Hard-Rock Stadium in Miami (23:00 SA Time) with weather conditions set to be in the spotlight again, as the Norwegians have been playing in different states across the US.
Solbakken also responds by noting that Ørland Nyland is a very good goalkeeper.
To be a top performer at the World Cup, a coach also needs a very balanced squad with experienced players and pedigree to perform at the highest level. That’s exactly what the Norwegian team squad has, dominated by players who ply their trade in the world’s top four leagues.
In some quarters, this has already been dubbed as the clash of two prolific goal scorers, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, but it’s also a game Solbakken doesn’t want to reduce just to two players….
"I think it's Norway vs England, but I don't think it's a secret that Kane is match winner number one for England, and Haaland is the same for us. There will be a game within the game especially if the weather remains like it is now."
