The Super Eagles face South Africa on Tuesday night at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein, knowing only a victory will keep their hopes alive of seizing top spot in their World Cup qualification group.
At the heart of the controversy is Mokoena, who featured against Lesotho six months ago despite being suspended.
FIFA has yet to issue a ruling, but Nigeria have continued to apply pressure from the sidelines.
Chelle insisted clarity is overdue.
"I am just a coach that focuses on my team, but there is an organisation (FIFA) that needs to manage this Mokoena situation. This is not my problem. My problem is getting my players to play a great game here in Bloemfontein."
The Nigerian mentor added that his players are ready to give everything on the pitch, even without injured star striker Victor Osimhen.
When asked about the inconsistent results after seven games during the qualifiers, Chelle responded, saying only outsiders have written the Super Eagles off.
"In our last three matches, we have taken seven points from a possible nine. The most important thing is tonight's match, and after this game, we will see what happens."
