The 18-year-old La Masia graduate made his first appearance in UEFA'S premium continental competition after replacing Ronald Araujo in the 89th minute, shortly after Newcastle had scored the opener in the 1-1 draw.

"For a young guy like me, that the coach has trusted me, it meant everything. I really appreciate him. How he trusted in me, made me feel relaxed, under no pressure and so I could play how I know I can".
The youngster had featured in 12 matches for Barca's reserve team this season, scoring three goals while providing one assist.
âI have to keep working, training and being ready to make the most of any other opportunity that comes my way,â added Espart.
