MTN8 semi-finals: Rematches for Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, and Stellenbosch and Pirates

Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are set for a re-match, while Orlando Pirates will also have a chance to avenge their defeat to Stellenbosch in the 2023 MTN 8 semi-finals.

The draw of the four remaining teams took place at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, after Stellies pipped SuperSport United in extra-time to end off the quarter-final round.

Earlier in the weekend, The Brazilians eliminated Moroka Swallows with a 1-0 victory before The Buccaneers put on a show with a 5-0 drubbing of Sekhukhune United on Saturday.

Amakhosi, meawhile, grabbed a stoppage-time winner to advance past Cape Town City with a 2-1 victory on Sunday.

The two-legged semis has set up mouth watering re-matches of DStv Premiership fixtures, which saw Sundowns beat Chiefs 2-1 at Lucas Moripe Stadium last Wednesday and Stellenbosch edge out Pirtates in their season-opener at Danie Craven Stadium on 5 August.

Fixtures details, such as kick-times and venues, will be confirmed at a later date.
