Bayern closed the Bundesliga calendar year in style, with Vincent Kompany's side producing a dominant display on the road to maintain their nine-point lead at the top of the table heading into the winter break.
Speaking after the match, sporting director Eberl admitted he found it difficult to fully describe how impressed he has been with the squad over the past 12 months.
"I don't even know if I can really describe it properly," Eberl said. "I admire the lads. You come home from a Champions League game on a Thursday and already know there is another Bundesliga match waiting on Saturday. Everyone is waiting for you to stumble."
Eberl believes Bayern's strong mentality was shaped during the Club World Cup earlier in the year, despite the tournament ending in defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and Jamal Musiala picking up an injury that ruled him out for the opening months of the season.
"I've said it many times, that Club World Cup was a gift for us," Eberl said. "Even though it ended dramatically, as a group we had four incredible weeks together."
He also highlighted Kompany's influence, stressing that the head coach never looked for excuses. "We never complained," Eberl said. "The coach never used the Club World Cup as an alibi. He wanted clear structures and processes from day one.
"With every success, this group became more stable and more confident."
Bayern began the Bundesliga season with a 6-0 win over RB Leipzig and have suffered just one defeat so far. Eberl pointed to the response after the 3-1 loss to Arsenal as a key moment. "We said, okay, move forward, next game," he said.
Bayern now turn their attention to the second half of the season, with a one more Champions League win likely to secure automatic qualification for the round of 16.
The next Bundesliga match will be on 11 January 2026 when Bayern host VfL Wolfsburg at Allianz Arena.
