Bayern Munich face a tough challenge in their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Inter Milan on Wednesday, with veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer almost certain to miss out.
The 39-year-old has been sidelined for seven matches with a calf injury, and Bayern's hopes of overturning a 1-2 deficit from the first leg are tempered by his continued absence.
Max Eberl, Bayern's board member for sport, expressed doubt about Neuer's return after their 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund. "We always hold out hope, but it's unlikely," Eberl told German outlet AZ.
Jonas Urbig, who has deputised in goal, will again take the gloves for the crucial clash at the San Siro.
Bayern need a strong performance to advance, with Inter's attacking threat posing a stern test.
