Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies welcome Banyana Banyana star Noxolo Cesane

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies second assistant coach Rhoda Mulaudzi says they are glad to welcome a player with a strong mindset such as Noxolo Cesane.

Cesane was announced as Sundowns newest acquisition after parting ways with Saudi Arabian outfit Eastern Flames recently.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Mulaudzi says Cesane’s presence brings a new level of composure and creativity in the squad.

“As a team we are very excited to have Noxolo join us. She is a top quality player with international experience. Her presence already brings a new level of composure and creativity into the squad.

“I believe she is a leader in her own right and her influence will be felt on and off the pitch. She has a strong mindset and a winning mentality which is what we need to stay at the highest level. I believe she also feels lucky to see herself joining a big club like Mamelodi Sundowns, we are one of the big clubs on the continent,’’ said Mulaudzi.

Mulaudzi adds that they have already integrated her into the team’s playing philosophy and allowed her freedom to express herself.

“The first step is making sure that she feels welcomed and supported in every way. Right now we have already integrated her into the Sundowns playing philosophy and given her the freedom to express herself.

“Our expectation is for her to bring her key quality in key moments, and lead those around her and of course to help us reach our goal of defending the title,’’ added Mulaudzi.

The Chloorkop outfit has not lost a match in seven outings this season. Mulaudzi says she is happy that the team has been aligned from the beginning of the new campaign and looks to pick up where they left off last season.

“It comes down to consistency and how we prepare. We have been aligned from day one and want to continue from last season’s success,’’ she expressed.
