Sundowns cruised out of the group stages with three out three wins to top Group A with nine points, and secured a spot in the semi-finals.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Mbane says they will not focus on the previous result but would rather face the semi-finals with a renewed mindset.
"I am happy that the team managed to win 7-9 in the previous match and going to the semi-finals. We've played against Zesco before and we won 1-0, so it's gonna be a different ball game,” Mbane said.
“We have to forget about the previous game and focus on the semi-final, which is not gonna be easy but if we stick to our game plan and what we want to achieve as a team, I think we'll make the final."
The host defeated Beauties FC of Namibia 7-0 in their final group stage match, with Mbane claiming player of the match accolade.
She credits team effort for her positive contribution and hopes that they maintain their winning momentum in the semi-finals.
"I think the tournament is only getting started, so we need to pull up our socks and convert our chances because it's gonna be a very critical game. Being named the Player of the Match doesn't say anything because as long as the team is doing well and winning, I'm happy. The accolade is a bonus but I'm happy we won 7-0."
