LaLiga: Real Madrid punish 10-man Sevilla to narrow gap to Barcelona

Real Madrid made the most of their man advantage to claim a comfortable 2-0 win over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu in LaLiga on Saturday.

Sevilla held their own in the early exchanges, trading chances with Real and giving them plenty to think about before Jude Bellingham opened the scoring with a deft header from a Rodrygo cross 38 minutes into the match.

After the half-time break, Sevilla's task got more complicated when Marcao was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

The home side took complete control of proceedings, with Sevilla dropping back and putting men behind the ball to defend the onslaught.

After missing several chances earlier in the match, Kylian Mbappe eventually managed to double the hosts' advantage from the penalty spot in the 86th minute.

Elsewhere in LaLiga on Saturday, Real Oviedo played out to a 0-0 draw against Celta Vigo at Carlos Tartiere Stadium.

Levante salvaged a late 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad at Ciudad de Valencia with Adrian de la Fuente scoring a penalty four minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game to cancel out Takefusa Kubo's 45th-minute opener.

Osasuna hammered Alaves 3-0 at Estadio El Sadar with a late flurry of goals after dominating most of the match.

Despite producing 16 shots and over 2xg, Osasuna had to wait until the 72nd minute before Ante Budimir opened the scoring.

He added a second nine minutes later to bag a brace before Raul Garcia de Haro put the cherry on top three minutes into stoppage time.
