Amakhosi were without centre back Miguel Inácio in their 2-1 CAF Confederation Cup victory over Al Masry on Sunday, with the coach confirming the defender was not fit.
Ben Youssef says Chiefs now have no choice but to rely on Msimango for Sunday’s decisive group stage clash away to Zamalek.
"We are taking a big risk with him [Msimango] by having him play 90 minutes, and he will have to play the full 90 again in our next game. We are taking big risks because we don't have any solution regarding this fixture. We tried to do our best with our fitness coach and doctor to manage the load, but in the end there is a player. It's crazywith all the traveling," said Ben Youssef
The Chiefs mentor also responded to criticism about their rotation policy, which his co-coach Cedric Kaze had also addressed after losing to Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup last week.
Although the Soweto giants battled in the earlier matches they now go into the final round of matches with their fate in their own hands.
Ben Youssef believes qualification is a huge possibility.
"We expect to qualify, but whether we finish first or second, we don't know. For us, the focus is on the next game, we have to compete and contine to fight to qualify."
Chiefs only need a point away to Zamalek and Ben Youssef has insisted that the players will treat the fixture like a cup final.
