Juventus pursue Barcelona's rising star Ez Abde for summer transfer

Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web reports that the Serie A giants have already approached Barcelona regarding the potential transfer.

To secure the services of the young talent, Barcelona are said to be demanding a fee of ‚¬15 million.

Abde gained recognition during his time with Spanish club Hercules, earning a place in the first team before joining Barcelona in July 2021. Although the Moroccan international made his debut for Barcelona's senior team in the 2021/22 season, consistent opportunities have been scarce.

During the 2022/23 season, the 21-year-old spent a loan spell at Osasuna, where he excelled with six goals and two assists in 34 appearances. Despite his impressive performance, Abde faces an uncertain future upon returning to Barcelona.

With Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Ousmane Dembele, and Raphinha all ahead of him in the pecking order, Abde's prospects appear dim. Furthermore, reports have recently linked him with clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa. However, Juventus aim to outmatch the competition in securing his signature.

The interest in the Moroccan talent is understandable, particularly considering the uncertainty surrounding Federico Chiesa's future.

Chiesa, the Italian international, may not remain at the Allianz Stadium beyond the summer transfer window, with recent reports linking him to several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea. Therefore, Juventus recognize the need to invest in a highly promising replacement, with Ez Abde emerging as a potential candidate.
