The towering 29-year-old centre back joined Vincent Kompany’s charges just in time for the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA from rivals Bayern Leverkusen, and has already played in all three group stage fixtures.
Bayern now face Flamengo in the round of 16 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday night.
He says his induction has been smooth.
"I feel great about joining this club, and it feels amazing to be here in America. I haven't had much time to settle in, but the Club World Cup has really helped. "
Tah won the title with Leverkusen two seasons ago and now joins a team that dethroned his former employers as champions.
He was asked what he thinks of his new coach.
"The coach knows exactly what he wants from the players. His approach is always to be dominant, whether that be with the ball or without the ball, which is a style I really like," said the sturdy centre half.
The defender added that Kompany’s advantage is that he has just recently retired as a footballer and that he is clear in his communication.
