The younger brother of Real Madrid and England international, Jude, joined the German giants just before the tournament started in the USA, for a reported fee of just a little over R540-million from Sunderland.
Bellingham made his full debut in the 4-3 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the group stages of the Club World Cup and was also on the score sheet.
He spoke about the benefits of travelling to a major tournament with his teammates.
"The lads have been great, they've really helped me settle in quite quickly, and it's been a different experience because rather than signing with the club then going on a summer holiday, I've got an opportunity to meet everyone and get to grips with how the coach wants us to play," said the upbeat youngster.
Dortmund take on Ulsan HD in their final group stage match on Wednesday, and Bellingham wants to build from the victory over Sundowns, especially now that he’s also off the mark.
"When the ball hits the back of the net, the feeling is surreal and simply crazy, but I'm really pleased with my first goal.
"Conditions do make it really difficult, especially for the European teams, but it's something we are going to have to adapt to as this competition goes on," said Bellingham.
The 19-year-old already has a song at his new club, which comes on the back of his brother also playing for the same club before his move to Real Madrid.
"I understand the background of the song, and I was really pleased to hear it."
