Jarrod Bowen labels Mohammed Kudus a "special talent"

Jarrod Bowen lauded the talents of Mohammed Kudus following the Ghanaian's spectacular showing in the 5-0 demolition of Freiburg on Thursday.

Lucas Paqueta opened the scoring in the ninth minute of West Ham's Europa League round of 16 second leg clash at the London Stadium.

Bowen (32') and Aaron Cresswell (52') were also both on target ahead of a late brace from Kudus (77', 85').

The Hammers ultimately secured their passage to the quarter-finals of the competition with a 5-1 aggregate, after a 1-0 defeat away from home in the first leg.

Speaking after the game, Bowen said on Ghanasoccernet: "The number of times he won the ball back and dribbled and the kept on running with the ball...he's so direct, has an eye for goal, and even had the composure to finish it with his right foot despite being a left-footed player. I'm really happy for him.

"He [Kudus] is a special player and I see it when he dribbles all the time. I enjoy playing with Mo and he enjoys playing with me and we have a connection. Here's to more goals."

Kudus now has five goals in seven Europe League appearances this season.
