South Africa will take on the Canada in an eagerly awaited FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 fixture at the Los Angeles Stadium on Sunday. 

The match can be watched live on SABC Sport.

Both nations are competing in the knockout stage of the World Cup for the first time in their history after finish in second position in Group A and B respectively. 

Bafana Bafana will be looking for their first victory over North American opposition at the the tournament, having drawn and lost the two matches against Mexico in 2010 and 2026. 

The two teams have met on one previous occasion, with South Africa winning the international friendly by 2-0 scoreline back in 2007.

South Africa are ranked 54th in the current FIFA rankings while Canada occupy 32nd spot.
