US head coach Mauricio Pochettino has said that Robinson's problem is being carefully managed after the defender was unavailable for the USMNT's recent friendlies against Ecuador and Australia (on Wednesday).
The 28-year-old had only just returned to the USMNT camp for the first time in 2025 after undergoing minor knee surgery in May.
"From the beginning of camp Antonee has had a small issue in his knee, a little bit of pain," Pochettino said. "We are managing him in the best way. He cannot participate in training right now and obviously he is not available for the game.
"I hope it's not serious and that he can go back to his club, train and compete in a normal way."
Robinson has featured in just 61 minutes of Premier League football this season and remains a doubt for Fulham's home match against Arsenal on Saturday.
His absence would be another setback for Marco Silva, who is already without several key players.
Raul Jimenez missed Mexico's internationals with a hip issue, though Fulham hope he will be fit to return at the weekend. Rodrigo Muniz (hamstring) and Kenny Tete (knee) are expected to remain sidelined beyond the international break.
Ryan Sessegnon and Calvin Bassey have covered at left-back in recent weeks, but Silva will be keen to have Robinson available again soon.
Since Fulham's promotion in 2022, the American has become a vital part of their setup, both defensively and in attack, finishing last season as the Premier League's top-assisting defender.
Fulham, who suffered back-to-back league defeats before the break, will be aiming to bounce back strongly when Arsenal visit Craven Cottage this weekend.
