Torres struck twice before half-time and later insisted he is determined to secure a regular place in the starting line-up. "I can be a starter for Barca. I seize every opportunity and many more goals are coming," he told DAZN after the match.
The Spanish forward admitted the game was not straightforward but praised the team's control. "We knew it would be difficult. Getafe make too many fouls in my opinion, but we managed it well. We didn't start the second half strongly, but the important thing is we got the three points. Often teams sit back against us, and we have to know how to find the spaces.
"We have very talented players who play good passes, and we found them well," he said.
Torres came close to a hat-trick, only to be denied by the crossbar. "I didn't take the ball home because of the woodwork, but more will come," he added.
The third goal arrived in the 62nd minute when Dani Olmo, who has impressed since his summer move from RB Leipzig, finished neatly to secure the victory.
Attention also turned to Marcus Rashford, who began on the bench just days after scoring twice in Barcelona's Champions League win at Newcastle United. Reports suggested the England forward had been late to a pre-match meeting, but Flick downplayed talk of disciplinary reasons, insisting the decision was tactical.
"It's normal. We needed fresh legs, and he has played a lot of minutes. We have to take care of the players," Flick said. "It's not easy to play every four days. It's not easy for the coaches either. I hope Rashford doesn't have anything wrong."
Barcelona remain unbeaten in La Liga this season, with Flick's side continuing to build momentum. They next face Oviedo on Thursday as they look to keep pace with leaders Real Madrid at the top of the table.
