The 22-year-old Argentina Under-23 international joined the Toffees on loan from Flamengo in February and has impressed during his short time on Merseyside. Alcaraz made 16 appearances, scoring twice and contributing three assists in a productive stint that has convinced Everton to activate their purchase option. The fee remains undisclosed.
Alcaraz will sign a two-year deal with the club as part of the agreement.
The midfielder has already had an eventful early career, including a previous spell in the Premier League with Southampton, who signed him from Racing Club in Argentina for 12 million pounds in January 2023. After 48 appearances for the Saints, he signed a long-term extension but was loaned to Juventus in January 2024, where he played a part in the club's Coppa Italia triumph.
Later that summer, Alcaraz moved to Flamengo and added another trophy to his growing resume by winning the Copa do Brasil before heading back to England with Everton.
His permanent return to the Premier League marks another step in Everton's rebuild under manager Sean Dyche, as the club looks to stabilise after a challenging few seasons and strengthen its midfield options heading into the 2025/26 campaign.
