Enzo Maresca: Chelsea are 'very happy' with Estevao's attitude

Chelsea's teenage winger Estevao Willian is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about young players at Stamford Bridge, despite only arriving in July.

The 18-year-old Brazilian had never played in Europe before making the move to west London, but manager Enzo Maresca has wasted little time in giving him opportunities.

Estevao has already made seven appearances in all competitions, including four Premier League starts, as Maresca looks to integrate him into his evolving squad.

Although he has yet to score for Chelsea, the winger has registered one assist and shown flashes of his potential.

His most recent outing came in last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, where he was seen taking instructions from captain Reece James during the match - a sign of the mentoring support he is receiving from senior players.

Maresca, who has made youth development a key part of his approach, praised Estevao's adaptation so far.

"He is doing very well," he told the club's official website.

"We have already said it's not easy to come to Europe at 18 years old at a big club like Chelsea and show immediately the quality he has. We are very happy with him.

"He's a very good boy, he's happy, and he's what we need in terms of energy."
