England are one win away from reaching their first World Cup final since lifting the trophy in 1966 but must first overcome Lionel Messi's Argentina.
Speaking ahead of the blockbuster encounter, Tuchel said his players were ready for the challenge and expected a fiercely contested match between two of international football's heavyweights, insisting they had prepared for every eventuality.
"It's a big rivalry and it's two big football nations like everyone who loves football. Everyone who follows the World Cup as a football fan knows about This constellation and knows about what it brings. It's two big football nations We expect tomorrow to be an intense match. We expect an emotional match. I expect a match with a lot of momentum swings and yeah, everything else would surprise me," said Tuchel
Tuchel insisted that although the magnitude of the match is not lost on his England outfit, the history between the two sides isn’t the driving force to success.
"No, we don't use it as a fuel. We know why we're here, we know what we want. We were never shy of expecting that from us, of saying it, of dreaming it. We are in the semi-finals, we arrived very hungry in the semi-finals."
"We want to have the next win. We respect our opponent, but we don't dip in historic events and we don't make it bigger than it is.It's a big football match, it's a big occasion. We are very excited, grateful, but very hungry and ready to go."
The coach raised concerns following their win over Mexico in the quarterfinal and Tuchel elaborated further when asked what improvements he would like to see against Argentina.
Tuchel applauded Spain for their efficiency in beating France to reach the final and expects his England to give just as much effort if not more.
