Daniel Svensson stays focused on Dortmund dismisses Real Madrid talk

Borussia Dortmund defender Daniel Svensson has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

"I haven't heard anything about that, to be honest," Svensson told Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen. "It's not something I think about. But of course, it's fun."

Svensson, 24, joined Dortmund on loan from FC Nordsjaelland in February 2025 before making the move permanent in May of the same year. Since then, he has made 52 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Despite the speculation, Svensson is concentrating solely on Dortmund's season. "I'm only focusing on Dortmund. That's where I am, and I'm very comfortable. It's not something I'm focusing on at all. We have important matches left this season," he said.

"I haven't been here that long. I feel I have more to achieve here, and I'm very happy to be part of the team," he added.

Dortmund manager Niko Kovac also praised Svensson's commitment. "Daniel has been a key part of our defence. He's professional and focused, and we expect him to continue performing at a high level for the remainder of the season," Kovac said.

Svensson's words suggest that, for now, he is fully committed to Dortmund as the club prepares for crucial matches in the Bundesliga and upcoming cup competitions.
