Christian Pulisic fires warning as AC Milan form soars

Christian Pulisic has made it clear that he is far from satisfied, despite being one of AC Milan's standout performers this season.

The American forward has enjoyed a strong start, scoring four goals in eight matches across Serie A and the Coppa Italia, all four in the league, while contributing two assists.

Currently on international duty with the United States, Pulisic reflected on his form ahead of their international friendly against Ecuador on October 10, which ended in a 1-1 draw (though he did not feature due to an ankle issue). He said he had pushed himself hard during the off-season to ensure he arrived in peak condition for the new campaign.

"I worked really hard this summer. It's not like I just took a break," said Pulisic. "I wanted to make sure my body was in the perfect spot coming into the season.

"I wanted to start really strong, and I worked really hard."

His preparation has clearly paid off, silencing some of the criticism that followed his decision to skip the Gold Cup earlier this year after a long season with Milan that included 50 appearances in all competitions.

Speaking about his impact at the San Siro, the 26-year-old said consistency had been key to his success so far. "It's just been the consistency and the work I've put in, and it's good to see it come to fruition and to be playing well," he said.

"But it's just the start of the season. I have so much more I want to accomplish."

Pulisic's impressive start has helped Milan sit third in the Serie A table as Massimiliano Allegri's side chase their first Scudetto since 2022. If his current form continues, the American could be central to their push for both domestic and European success this season.
