Chippa stutter into Nedbank Cup last 16 with win over ABC Motsepe League side NRC Pros

In a first ever meeting between the sides, Chippa handed goalkeeper Darren Johnson his debut. Despite that it was a very strong looking Chilli Boys outfit, who had Bienvenu Eva Nga returning to the side.

Despite their amateur status, NRC kept the DStv Premiership outfit at bay until half-time. Eva Nga broke the deadlock for the Chilli Boys but NRC hit back. However, Chippa would have the last laugh with a late winner.

Chippa now turn their attention to a clash with Stellenbosch FC on Friday. The Chilli Boys are in 12th position on the DStv Premiership standings.
