Charles Sagoe Jr has expressed his delight at making his debut for English Premier League side Arsenal.

The 19-year-old English-born Ghanaian striker started the Gunners' Carabao Cup tie against Brentford on Wednesday night.

Arsenal claimed a 1-0 win with Reiss Nelson on target at the Gtech Community Stadium after just eight minutes.

Sagoe Jr played 68 minutes of the tie before being replaced by Gabriel Jesus.

Speaking after the game, the player said on Ghanasoccernet: "It's a dream come true to have made my professional debut with Arsenal last night. It's a proud moment for me and my family and it's an experience I'll never forget. Thank you for your support!"
