The coach had started Witbooi on the wings before switching him centrally.
Speaking to SABC Sport shortly after their well-grinded 2-1 win over Gomora United in a Motsepe Foundation Championship match in Dobsonville , Vreman says Witbooi improved their attacking options in the second half.
"Emile is a football player, he can do everything with the ball and if you put him on the side or in the middle, it depends also on what the other team is doing and what player is playing against him but you can put him on a lot of different places. What we did today also, put him in the middle and more speed on the side, that helps us also,” Vreman said.
The South African U17 and U20 international, who visited Chelsea and another top European club last year for assessments, is expected to move overseas when he turns 18 later this year (August).
Vreman, who has a history of working with young talent from Holland, looks at what it will take for Witbooi to hit the high notes of football.
"He's a good one, I can tell you he's a good one. He'll also need luck, not getting injured, coming in the right team, playing a lot of games. If he goes into a very big team and he's not playing that doesn't help. I think also his home situation for himself, he's a calm guy,” the coach added.
“Also, the other players help him, Keagan Dolly in the group and also Lorenzo [Gordhino], they are experienced players, they help him and he can listen."
