Brennan Johnson lauds new Tottenham teammate Mohammed Kudus

Brennan Johnson says he's been impressed by the talents of new Tottenham teammate Mohammed Kudus.

The Ghana international attacker joined the Premier League side from London rivals West Ham in the off-season.

He impressed in his first season in England after signing from Ajax but was unable to replicate that form last term as he netted just five times, compared to his 18 goals in the 2023/24 campaign.

But he has been looking lively in pre-season for Spurs in friendly games against Reading, Luton, Arsenal and Newcastle.

Johnson said: "I've been really impressed with him since he came in. Really nice guy as well.

"Last season, there were quite a few games where I don't think we even had 11 first-team players.

"Getting as much quality as we can is important, and it is what we need because we are in the Champions League and want to go far in all competitions."

Commenting on Spurs' involvement in the Champions League this season as a result of their Europa League success, the player added: "It wasn't just a one-off thing. We want to be in the Champions League every year. We need the quality and depth in the squad.

"We are getting there. Hopefully, we can stay fit this season, and it will give us the best chance to compete in all competitions."
