The 26-year-old former SuperSport United and Varbergs BoIS midfielder was left without a club after parting ways with Portsmouth last week.
He has now completed a free transfer to the Belgian Pro League side.
"Cercle Brugge have strengthened their midfield with Luke Le Roux. The 26-year-old South African joins the Vereniging on a free transfer and has signed a two-year contract," the club posted.
"He began his career in his home country before making the move to Europe in 2020. At Swedish side Varbergs BoIS, the physically strong midfielder became a regular starter and went on to make more than 100 appearances.
"After a season in the Eredivisie with FC Volendam, Le Roux returned to Sweden, where he played for IFK Varnamo.
âLast season, he was active in the English Championship with Portsmouth FC, making 16 appearances.â
Technical Director Luciano Murchio added: "Luke is a player with valuable experience, both as a senior international and in competitive leagues such as the Swedish Allsvenskan and the Championship.
"With his speed, energy and quality in possession, he brings extra options to our midfield. He complements the profiles we already have in the squad, and we are looking forward to seeing him on the pitch in Green-Black."
"Welcome, Luke!"
