Bafana Bafana coach replaces injured Themba Zwane with Pule Mmodi

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is believed to have changed his mind about Kaizer Chiefs players following the injury of Mamelodi Sundowns star Themba Zwane.

On Wednesday, last week, Broos announced his final squad for two upcoming friendlies against Namibia and DR Congo. In that squad, he did not include Chiefs players, due to their current standard at the moment. This was his statement when asked about the exclusion.

Now it appears that the Belgian tactician has changed his mind, by recalling Mmodi, who was part of the preliminary squad to replace injured Zwane who suffered a face injury, during the MTN8 semifinals clash against Chiefs on Saturday and was rushed to the hospital before the end of the first half.

Last night Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena indicated that Mshishi will not take part in the upcoming Bafana Bafana clashes. As he was reacting following their 1-1 MTN8 first leg draw against Chiefs.

Mmodi, is not the only change, as the C.D. Tondela's Portugal based midfielder Sphephelo Sithole will also join the team on Tuesday to replace Luke Le Roux, who suffered from illness, on his way to South Africa from his Dutch side FC Volendam.
