The club confirmed on Wednesday that a meeting had taken place to map out their sporting and institutional plans, with Emery central to their vision.
"Aston Villa held an important working meeting today to plan the club's future and lay the foundations for its long-term sporting and institutional project," Villa said in a statement.
The club added that discussions had focused on "jointly planning the club's long-term strategic direction", with a positive outcome establishing "a clear commitment beyond 2029 for the joint development of the club under the sporting leadership of Unai Emery".
Emery has transformed Villa since taking charge four years ago, guiding them into the Champions League twice and ending a 30-year wait for silverware by winning the Europa League last season.
His achievements have attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, with Manchester United among the sides linked with the Spaniard amid uncertainty over Michael Carrick's future.
