AmaZulu head coach Arthur Zwane praises Simo Dladla

AmaZulu coach Arthur Zwane has lauded his new assistant Simo Dladla as a brilliant tactician.

Dladla recently joined Usuthu after parting ways with Durban City, whom he led to promotion to the Betway Premiership from the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season.

The former AmaZulu player, who now holds a CAF A-licence, also helped his former employers to the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup earlier this year.

Speaking to Victor Molefe on the Prime Time Sports Show on Ukhozi FM, Zwane says Dladla has done really well as a coach.

"We decided to beef up the team, so I could also have someone who would help me, and coach Simo Dladla was the perfect candidate for this job," Zwane said.

"As the president of AmaZulu has said, Dladla is very passionate about football. He even started his own club so he could contribute to the development of football in the country.

"It was very important for us to get someone who works hard like coach Simo, and he also played for AmaZulu, so he understands the team's culture."

Zwane will also be assisted by Siboniso Vilakazi, another former player who donned the green and white colours of the club during his heydays.

"Coach Nini [Siboniso Vilakazi] was also very helpful, especially when Vusumuzi Vilakazi and I arrived at the club. Even after Coach Kanu left, he really was helpful.

"He has also produced a lot of players especially from DDC, he's exactly like coach Simo when it comes to developing young players," he concluded.
