Al Ahli Benghazi blow as Caleb Bimenyimana sidelined with injury

Caleb Bimenyimana has been sidelined with injury just a month after joining new club Al Ahli Benghazi.

The 25-year-old striker joined the Libyan giants this season on a free transfer following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs.

Despite finishing last season as the club's top goal scorer, with eight goals and one assist in 21 matches in all competitions, Bimenyimana was let go by Chiefs.

But he suffered an injury while on national duty with Burundi, in the 3-0 defeat to Cameroon in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Tuesday.

Posting on Instagram, Bimenyimana wrote: "You can't control injuries but you can control how hard you work to come back.

"Unfortunately, injuries are part of the game and you have to adapt, keep faith, trust and never give up.

"It hasn't always been easy, there™s a lot of hard moments."
