SuperSport United (SSU) midfielder Sipho Mbule will have a new club by the end of the month, his agent, Mike Makaab, has told SABC Sport.
Its no secret that the talented Mbule is a player in demand, although disciplinary issues have ended his season premature after he was suspended by SSU for several counts of misconduct as explained by CEO Stan Matthews recently.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are two of the topflight clubs said to have made serious inquiries, though its believed that the Brazilians have in fact won the race and clinched a deal with Mbule for next season.
But Makaab did not want to be drawn into further discussions having himself taken to social media to claim Amakhosi were not showing their intent.
The agent was only willing to confirm that Mbule will be at a new club when the registration period reopens on 1 July.
I am confident that by the end of the month we would have finalised a deal with another football club because I have been given the blessings by Stan Matthews to go ahead, Makaab told SABC Sport.
I dont want to disrupt any of the clubs now because its the last games of the (DStv Premiership) league - after the Nedbank Cup (on 28 May) I will then engage the clubs I have to engage. Hopefully we can come to some sort of finality.
Chiefs sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jnr, has in the past talked about Mbule as a player the Glamour Boys would be keen on signing.
Whether that is a possibility looks unlikely.
