Leverkusen made it three wins from three pre-season matches with another impressive display, while Moreira extended his remarkable run by finding the net in every friendly since joining the German clubs.
Playing at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion, Leverkusen took the lead through Jeanuel Belocian after Edmond Tapsoba split the Genk defence with an excellent through ball. Loic Bade also thought he had doubled the advantage, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Nathan Tella made it 2-0 before half-time after Jonas Hofmann created the opportunity following Leverkusen's high press and quick recovery of possession in the attacking third.
Head coach Carles Martinez made wholesale changes just after the hour mark, but Leverkusen remained firmly in control.
Moreira continued his fine run with a composed finish to score his fourth goal of pre-season before turning provider moments later. The winger delivered the assist for Christian Kofane, who completed the scoring with Leverkusen's fourth goal.
Moreira's performances have strengthened his case to become the clubs' first-choice left winger ahead of the new campaign. With Kerim Alajbegovic and Martin Terrier both linked with moves away, the new signing is making a strong impression during pre-season.
Striker Patrik Schick also made his first appearance of the summer, featuring alongside Victor Boniface during the final 30 minutes.
Leverkusen return to action on August 1 when they host Rot-Weiss Essen in another pre-season friendly at the Ulrich-Haberland-Stadion.
