Pirates registered a dominant 2-0 win over TS Galaxy in a make-up Betway Premiership fixture at Orlando Stadium last night, moving up to the third spot on the log.
With still three games in hand, and only six points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, Ouaddou is happy with his team’s current run.
"It was a very, very difficult game – we were expecting a very strong opponent and we got it, so I'm very happy about the team spirit and the unity of my players," said Ouaddou.
"We knew that the opponent would come with a lot of ambition to bother us at home, they already did it in the last years, I think, so we played well and the players respected our plan, and I'm happy for the victory tonight.
"It has helped us to grab some points and to definitely be close to the teams in the [top of the] log, which is what we wanted, so we keep going, working, and I hope my team will keep this spirit until the end of the season."
Another special performance last night came from star player Relebohile Mofokeng, who missed the previous game due to an injury.
After playing a full 90 minutes, Ouaddou says the 20-year-old is dearly loved at the club and hopes to see more from the youngster throughout the season.
"First of all, as a coach and an ex-professional player, it's important to give love to your players and show them trust, and build strong values between [yourself and] your players," he added.
"This is very important, we are not speaking about tactics or technique, we are speaking about a human being, so these things are very important.
"The other thing is, in his home he has some fantastic people in the club, the management, people who love him and he loves the club, so him feeling love inside the club is what keeps him.
"He was fantastic today and I was happy with his performance, and I hope he will keep going like that and show the best of Rele."
