Vincent Tshituka honoured in annual Sharks awards

Sharks loose forward Vincent Tshituka scooped the Sharks Player of the Year Award at their annual ceremony in Durban this week.

The tireless forward has started and played the full 80 minutes in the last 11 Sharks matches, except for two games where he was subbed.

Tshituka claimed the Sharks Player of the Year title as well as the Most Consistent Player.

The Congo-born star's efforts have not gone unnoticed by Bok coach Rassie Erasmus and he is in the 45-man squad set to do battle in the international season.

Elsewhere, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi shared the Top Try Scorer award with rising star Ethan Hooker. Both players scored nine tries across the United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup.

Finally, Jurenzo Julius was crowned Rookie of the Year after bulldozing his way from academy prospect to match-day regular at the Sharks.
