Silver Strikers shift focus after Sundowns loss in CAF WCL Qualifiers

Sundowns defender Karabo Dhlamini scored a brace in the first half, with Isabela Ludwig sealing the win for Downs in the second half.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Kulemeka says he knows how important the game against Nsingizini Hotspurs is for them to qualify for the semi-finals.

"Each opponent presents a different challenge and we understand the last group game will be vital. We need to go back to the drawing board, study the game, and take the lessons in order to plan from there. Our last game will be treated as a final."

The Malawians started the tournament with a 2-1 win against the Mozambican side Costa do Sol.

Group B now remains open with Sundowns on top of the table with six points and Silver Strikers in second followed by Costa do Sol, while Nsingizini Hotspurs are bottom of the group having lost both their matches.

The Silver Strikers tactician says they will work on converting their chances ahead of Tuesday.

As for Sundowns, they have scored 11 goals in their first two group stage matches and Kulemeka says they were a worthy opponent and congratulates them for the victory.

"We arrived with the hope of stopping Sundowns. I feel that we gave away the goals although we tried to come back in the second half. 

"We have to plan and we have to forge ahead in the competition. Sundowns deserved the win."
