Alexander Zverev wants tougher challenges for Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner

German star Alexander Zverev wants to challenge Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in upcoming seasons to avoid their Grand Slam domination.

World number three Zverev is yet to win his maiden Grand Slam title despite emerging victorious in 24 ATP Singles tournaments and claiming an Olympic Gold.

In contrast, Top seeds Alcaraz and Sinner have claimed the last eight Grand Slam titles on the Men's circuit, with each of them winning four each.

"Well, this year it's about health because the Grand Slam tournaments are over," said the 28-year-old Zverev.

"At the end of the day, I'm still number three in the world. There's a group of players, obviously Jannik and Carlos, who are light years away from us and the rest at the moment. They're much, much better than us, but I think (Taylor) Fritz, myself, and Novak (Djokovic), but also some other players like (Jack) Draper.

"I think we can't just say that in the next ten years, Jannik and Carlos will win every single tournament, and we'll just sit there and watch. We have to compete against them, and we have to keep that in mind.

The German star is set to compete at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna that starts this Saturday.
