Harry Kane believes Bayern Munich have plenty of room for improvement following their 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen.

Kane scored in the seventh minute on Friday, heading in at the rear post from Leroy Sane's corner for his fourth Bundesliga goal.

His fifth goal was thwarted by an astonishing save from Lukas Hradecky in the second half, before Xabi Alonso's team scored in injury time to salvage a point.

"We started really well, controlled it, controlled possession and created some good chances," Kane told the official Bundesliga website.

"They came back in the second half of the first half and we lost our shape a little bit. They exploited that. The second half was back and forth.

"There's loads to improve on. We'll obviously watch it back and see where we can get better for the next games.

"I'm still getting to know everyone and learn how everyone plays. It's been a busy week obviously with being away [on international duty] and coming straight back into this game, but as the season goes on I'm going to learn more and more with the team and hopefully improve and we can get better."

Bayern will have the opportunity to rediscover their form in the coming weeks, as the Leverkusen draw marked the start of seven matches in 24 days for Thomas Tuchel's squad.
