Titans captain looking to keep good times rolling in Pro20 Cup

Ferreira’s team beat YesPlay Cobras on the opening day of the tournament last week, before beating Mpumalanga Rhinos in a rain-affected match to go two-in-two in the competition and sit top of Pool A.

He says the positive results so far have been very important for them as a team, particularly after a poor showing in the shortest format last year.

"For any team that starts the season off with two bonus point wins, the mood in the camp will always be good, but I think it's really important for us to keep raising the bar knowing that this is a long competition so you have to keep learning and growing to make sure that by the end of the competition everything is waxed and sorted."

The Titans face the newly promoted Flexbrands Knights in Bloemfontein this evening hoping to maintain their 100 percent record.

This will be their second match on the road and Ferreira highlighted some of the challenges they face when having to play away from home.

"There is one or two challenges when it comes to travelling to the smaller unions, but we just want to focus on what we can control and try to promote the Titans brand as best we can. We have a big responsibility considering the legacy of Titans cricket."

Ferreira says they’re not getting ahead of themselves as yet in terms of getting to the play-offs, and says all they need to do is keep the momentum and control the controllables.
