Shaheen Shah Afridi recovers from injury and named in Pakistan T20I squad

Shaheen Shah Afridi has recovered from injury and been named in Pakistan's squad for the three-match T20I series against Australia starting next week.

Fast bowler Afridi has been sidelined since leaving a stint in the Big Bash League (BBL) with Brisbane Heat due to a knee ligament injury.

Babar Azam had a difficult spell with Sydney Sixers in the BBL but keeps in his place in the squad.

Khawaja Nafay, who impressed on debut in Sri Lanka earlier this month, has been selected again as the designated wicketkeeper.

This is Pakistan's final squad ahead of the T20 World Cup, and likely to be the final audition for players vying to force their way into the side for the global tournament.
