SA20: Durban Super Giants v MI Cape Town clash abandoned due to rain

Persistent rain ensured there was little cricket on offer as the SA20 clash between Durban’s Super Giants and MI Cape Town at Kingsmead on Sunday was abandoned after just four overs.

MI Cape Town skipper Rashid Khan had earlier elected to field after winning the toss, but his decision was barely tested as the weather quickly intervened.

Durbanâ™s Super Giants had surged to 37 without loss, with Devon Conway unbeaten on 24 from 13 deliveries and Kane Williamson on 12 from 11, when play was halted.

The rain did not relent, forcing officials to call off the match, with both sides settling for two log points apiece.
