Namibia's Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton smashes fastest international T20 century against Nepal

Namibia batter Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton hit the fastest century in T20 international cricket after reaching three figures in only 33 balls against Nepal.

The left-hander struck 11 fours and eight sixes on his way to a ton in Namibia's 20-run win, beating the previous record Nepal's Kushal Malla by one delivery.

Malla's feat had come during the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, when Nepal had smashed 314 for 3 against Mongolia.

It was the same match in which Dipendra Singh Airee had hit the fastest T20I fifty, off nine balls.

Loftie-Eaton fell three balls after reaching the milestone, for 101, as Namibia racked up 206 for four in their 20 overs.

The 22-year-old then cemented his man-of-the-match performance by taking two for 29 as Nepal were bowled out for 186.
