Pretorius followed up his 94 in the previous contest against Zimbabwe with 101 from 53 balls, while opening partner Connor Esterhuizen blitzed a career-best 88 as the Proteas piled on a total of 228-4 in their 20 overs.
The South African opening pair came out with brilliant intent and flair with Esterhuizen the dominant partner as he got his fifty in just 26 deliveries.
The duo put on partnership of 156 in side 12 overs before Connor Esterhuizen was dismissed, with his runs coming off just balls that included six fours and eight sixes.
Pretorius then took over the the bulk of the scoring and reached his first T20I hundred from 52 balls with five fours and eight massive sixes before he was bowled in the final over.
The home side gave the run-chase a good go with Jan Frylinck striking a blistering 72 from 36 deliveries while Louren Steenkamp contributed 66 off 44 balls.
The Proteas bowlers took some punishment but ultimately held their nerve to close out the contest as they prepare to meet Zimbabwe in Sunday's T20I tri-series final.
