Head coach Cedric Kaze introduced Vandala in the 60th minute and pulled him out in the 80th minute.

Vandala is not a player, who seemingly was in the coach’s plans as he didn’t have a pre-season with Sekhukhune, but was with AmaZulu and only returned to his parent club after there were complications with his clearance.

Kaze says this is a matter they will handle in the dressing room...

"It was a tactical decision from me, and I just hope that we will work it out because I don't believe I saw the impact I wanted him to make in the game."

Sekhukhune frustrated Chiefs in the first half, and chances were few and far in between. Kaze had been with Chiefs for the past two seasons, and he looked back at what his Sekhukhune team did better before AmaKhosi took over in the second half and sealed the game...

"We needed to do everything we could to slow the game down because we knew Chiefs would rush at us after their MTN8 defeat. The goal was to prohibit them from getting space and time in the wide areas and prevent them from getting into 1 v 1 situations.

"We were too passive in the second half while they stepped up their intensity."

This was Sekhukhune’s first loss of the season, having won their first two games both in the league and MTN8. As a team that has regularly been finished in the top five in the past four seasons, and now form part of the MTN8 semifinals, Kaze is aware of the expectations for Babina Noko.

With the possibility of Sekhukhune’s powerful left-back Vuyo Letlapa possibly moving outside the country in this transfer window, Kaze was asked if there are some areas in the squad they would still like to strengthen in this window...

"When you lose four or five starters it's not easy and you have to replace those players with quality, but we also need depth on the bench. In every department on the field, we need to strengthen."
