Bafana play Zambia at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium next weekend, in what will be their only game in the upcoming international window.
Broos has also lined up another friendly match just before their departure for the AFCON and also feels that Chipolopolo are precisely what they are looking for.
"You know it's always a problem when we need friendly games, and we always play these friendlies against teams that are on the border of South Africa, because when we travel, it costs money.
"Zambia were ready and willing to come for a friendly, and don't underestimate them, they are a very good team that can give us a proper friendly game before the AFCON.
With less than a month to go before Broos announces his final squad for the AFCON, the Belgian-born mentor has revealed that he already knows 70 to 80 percent of the team that he’s taking to the tournament in Morocco.
Earlier this week, Mamelodi Sundowns captain and one of the key players in Broos’ puzzle, Themba “Mshishi” Zwane, indicated that he has fully recovered and is ready to return to play.
Broos says he would love to have him in the team, but he also doesn’t have enough time to make that call.
"I don't know if Themba will play much in the weeks leading up to the AFCON. We have to forget him; he didn't play all season.
"However, I still hope for next year."
