VfB Stuttgart have secured the signing of Yannik Keitel for the upcoming season.

Until now the 24-year-old has played for SC Freiburg, where he also came through the youth system.

Keitel has made 64 Bundesliga appearances in his career to date, in which he's registered one goal and two assists, as well as nine in the Europa League.

Keitel represented Germany at youth level 32 times, 15 of those for the U21 team. The midfielder has signed a contract at VfB until 30 June 2028.

Yannik Keitel:  "I'm already very much looking forward to the new challenge at VfB Stuttgart and getting to know the team and the club. Following the talks with the management and the coach, I'm convinced that VfB is the right club for me. I'll do everything to help the team to continue being successful."

Sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth:  "Yannik's profile and style of play are a very good fit for us. He's gained important experience at both national and international levels in the last few years, and has thus matured as a player and a personality. At the same time, we see the potential for further development in Yannik, which is why we're very pleased that he'll wear the white and red shirt in the future."VfB Stuttgart have secured the signing of Yannik Keitel for the upcoming season.
