Siyanda Zwane joins Golden Arrows technical team

The appointment comes after the departure of Manqoba Mngqithi and his assistants, Kagiso Dikgacoi and Musa Bilankulu, following Arrows' impressive sixth-place finish in the Betway Premiership last season – the club's highest league finish since the 2020/21 campaign.

Mngqithi was unveiled this week as the new head coach of Tanzanian side Young Africans with Dikgacoi serving as set piece coach.

Zwane, a former Arrows defender, enjoyed a decade-long playing spell with Abafana Bes'thende after making his PSL debut for the club in the 2005/06 season. He later joined Bidvest Wits and was also a member of Mamelodi Sundowns' CAF Champions League-winning squad in 2016.

His return sees him reunite with the club where his professional career began, as Arrows head into the 2026/27 season with a revamped technical team under Dladla.

The Durban-based side have already brought in James Madidilane as assistant coach and Jacob Mokhasi as goalkeeper coach.

Zwane is expected to be in the dugout when Arrows take on Chippa United in their opening game of the season.
