The Portuguese head coach joined the club in November 2024 to replace Erik ten Hag, but has failed to get consistent positive results, failing to win back-to-back Premier League wins his time at Old Trafford.
However, despite further humiliation in the Carabao Cup by League Two opponents Grimsby Town in August and a current three-match losing streak in the league, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has come out to dismiss any intentions of parting ways.
"Ruben needs to demonstrate he is a great coach over three years," he said to The Business podcast.

Ruben Amorim recently lost his 50th match at the helm of the Red Devils when his side lost 3-0 in the recent derby against Manchester City, his 21st loss at the English club with 20 victories and nine draws.
âWe have to be patient. We have a long-term plan. It isn't a light switch," added Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
"You can't run a club like Manchester United on knee-jerk reactions to some journalist who goes off on one every week."
United currently find themselves on tenth position on the Premier League table after seven matches and will travel to Anfield to face Liverpool after the international break on Sunday 19 October.
