Garcia Plaza expects no margin for error, stressing that Real Madrid still possess elite-level quality despite an inconsistent campaign and remain among the most dangerous teams in world football.
The Sevilla boss highlighted the mentality of top sides in decisive moments, pointing to Real Madrid's recent performances, including a victory over RCD Espanyol, as proof of their ability to deliver results in difficult circumstances under the current managerial influence of Alvaro Arbeloa.
Despite their inconsistent campaign, Madrid's level remains a benchmark in European football, a point Garcia Plaza believes his Sevilla side must account for when approaching the fixture.
"Real Madrid recently played away at Espanyol, who were fighting for their lives, and they won. We're talking about one of the best teams in the world," said Garcia Plaza, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
"As a manager, I've beaten Guardiola's Barcelona and Mourinho's 100-point Real Madrid.
"And even if you're playing well, they have players who are capable of winning a match on their own.
"It's true that the season hasn't gone as they'd hoped, but I'm expecting the best Madrid.
"Unless we play a great game, we'll lose, because that's only logical. If we struggle to beat anyone...
"They're among the best players. They're the sort of players capable of winning a match single-handedly.
"The season hasn't gone as they'd hoped, but if Real Madrid score two goals, that's the game over.
"I'm expecting the best Madrid, and if we don't put in a great performance, we'll lose - that's only natural."
