Sekhukhune eye striking reinforcement before transfer deadline

The club struggled to get registered forwards Bethuel Muzeu and Chibuike Ohizu onto the pitch from the outset because of work permit delays, forcing them to deploy Brian Ndlovu as a makeshift striker.

Zothwane, who was elevated to the head coach role following Cedric Kaze’s sudden departure last week, believes the attacking department could still benefit from reinforcement. 

"We've got quality players. Obviously as a technical team to see which areas are of a concern perhaps if we need a striker, someone who can finish but we've got Muzeu and Ohizu maybe those are positions we can look at in the future other than that I think we have a good squad to compete," said Zothwane

While Ohizu returns from a loan spell at Siwelele last season, it’s Muzeu who is a new face to the Sekhukhune fold. But Zothwane said the former Black Leopards goal ace, who made his full debut in the stalemate against TS Galaxy on Saturday night, will soon find his scoring boots. 

Babina Noko suffered three successive defeats against Orlando Pirates in both the MTN8 and the league and Zothwane says it was important to avoid another poor result at the Old Peter Mokaba. 

Zothwane added that it was not necessary to make wholesale changes to the team, keeping to their fundamentals against Galaxy.
